This Week

Sail Tuesday, Sail Wednesday - - - but Then What?

(9/27/10)'

With two days left, sailing options are still open but getting scarce.  We have bad news.  And good news.

BAD NEWS - one day less of sailing, because we've heard from the marina that we must pull the boats out on Saturday morning (rather than Friday), andt the expected foul weather on Thursday pretty much closes sailing down for the season at that point.

GOOD NEWS -

WORK NEWS -

The new day of hauling out the fleet is Thursday.   There are two shifts where volunteers are needed:

Friday is off, then the sailors start to work on the boats, with some inside work space available all during October: 10/2  10/9  10/16  10/23  10/30

2010 Hauling the Fleet - Friday (October 1) - 8pm (join us when you can get there, then lend a hand in the first day of Winter Maintenance/Repair)  -

At the end of the week, volunteers needed to clear the boats, un-step spars, help guide the boats off the crane onto trailers, and set the Fleet gently ashore, and start laying out maintenance projects.   MEET AT PORT EDGEGOOD marina.  Late arrivals welcome!

  • Meanwhile, to brush up skills, there's Coaching for individual private-lessons in a few spots, Tuesday and Wednesday this week (appointment).

FOR THE FUN OF IT, PRACTICE SAILING !
