This Week

sharing gifts – November is Scholarship Month at Edgewood Sailing School

ESS is THANKFUL for YOU!    As we continue our November Scholarship Drive, we want to say thank you to all of our volunteers, donors, tutors, instructors, students, and parents – to everyone who is and has been a part of the ESS family.

And within the ESS family, we want to note our particular thanks to Rick MacNeil, after whom our scholarship program is named.

Rick was an avid Beetle (Spat ) and S Boat (Argument ) sailor at Edgewood, standing for important principles like working up to one's potential, not stopping short of goals, pressing out beyond the expected, doing the unexpected, honoring accomplishment, sharing skills, and preserving things worth keeping (like wooden boats).
After his passing in 2009, Rick’s friends and family helped start the Rick MacNeil Scholarship Fund, honoring the gentle guy in the pink hat, and creating a means to bring sailing to more of the young people whom Rick would have, himself, been ready to mentor.

During November, please consider a donation of $100, $50 or $25 to help keep the wind in the sails for next summer's ninth year of the of the youth Scholarship Fund.
Donate at www.edgewoodsailing.org/donate.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!
