The Frozen Few skipped a week due to weather conditions outside the range described in the Sailing Instructions and jumped in again this week right after clearing out after Saturday's snowstorm with the "Up From the Ashes" regatta. The regatta was sponsored by both Edgewood Yacht Club and Edgewood Sailing School. After the Edgewood Yacht Club building burned in January 2011, the Frozen Few were first back on the water to sail with a lot of help from friends and neighbors around the bay.

Volunteers were on hand to assist racers participating in the open regatta. The regatta brought out members to watch the racing from the dock, and for everyone to enjoy a potluck meal together in the Cottage afterwards.

The Race Committee ran 4 long races. i(T, G, W, W2 with ducks.) The G course had a mark between the North and South docks. The wind was from the North, then the East, then the North again. The course configuration shifted 90 degrees for the last two races.

Dave W. was first for the day, followed by Jeff, Dave S. and Bill G. All participants received commemorative t-shirts and mementos of the event.
