The Frozen Few, 2012-2013

The 2012-2013 season of frostbite racing at Edgewood Yacht Club started on-schedule despite the best efforts of Hurricane Sandy.

Racing canceled on 12/30 due to high wind

Racing was canceled on 12/30 due to strong, shifting winds that took out two-thirds of the fleet in the first leg of the first race.

No frostbite racing on 12/23

Note that in keeping with the NOR (and despite what Stuart may have said in person) there is NO frostbite racing on 12/23. The final race of the fall series will be on 12/30. Hope to see you all there!

Now that's more like it...

We had excellent racing conditions today with strong but not overpowering winds and relatively smooth water. Boats were getting up onto a plane on the beam reaches. The race committee tried to make things challenging by putting the gybe mark between the north and south docks, but all the skippers managed that challenge gracefully.
