not quite winter - Sat Vols green & haul - NOVEMBER 23

"SATURDAY VOLUNTEERS" - not so good tide, but calmer weather this weekend than last. MaryAnn and Big White stuck at the docks, still wanting to come back on the hard...

The tide was up; but the wind was way up, so last week saw us just put in serious work on whaler covers – – and MaryAnn and BigWhite are still waiting for haul-out.

Saturday this week has lovely Thanksgiving outside weather, and at least a slight chance we can get at least one of the whalers out.

So, this week, we'll cover the remaining 12' whaler (Thing 1), make some needed trailer repairs for MaryAnn's trailer, then try to haul (high water 16:01) and clean up the hulls for MaryAnn and BigWhite

We'll be at Edgewood again this weekend. Crew on the water to get the whalers out, covers, carpentry and mechanical crews on shore. Many hands certainly will be welcome!

Please meet at the Sailing School at 9am. Dress for chilly very brisk weather. If you'd like to help with the hauling-out for the whalers, please bring pfd and be prepared to go onto (but, perhaps, not into) the water.

This week (November 23) meet at Edgewood Sailing School (Edgewood Yacht Club).

Remember the MacNeil youth scholarship-fund appeal ... and  be sure to join the pack, to pack up the fleet and get a head-start on 2020 sailing.
