With a good number of people who have already RSVP'd, with a growing list for the Silent Auction, and open sky, this event is progressing beautifully.

Start June with an ESS Evening By The Bay

ESS is prepping for a terrific Saturday Evening by the Bay on June 1 in Warwick! Registrations are flowing in, the caterers from Amos House in Providence are ready to go, and Edgewood Yacht Club has generously donated wine for the event.

The evening will feature a silent auction, with an amazing list of items , ranging from an overnight on Rose Island Lighthouse, to children's books and a gift card from Frog & Toad, Hope Street.

A busy week in Edgewood. Fund-raiser planning for June 1 now includes  a stay at Newport’s Rose Island Lighthouse and art photographs of the local scenery up for silent auction.  

Sadly, we also rang eight-bells to mark the passing of ESS Volunteer and Tutor, David Warner.

Volunteers take Opti to the Zoo, and Rhodes 19 to EMS and Trader Joe's -  Saturday (May 5th)

Last week it was sailing at the Zoo with flamingos and kangaroos with an Opti. This week it's a demo at Eastern Mountain Sports and Trader Joe's with a fully rigged Rhodes 19. There were over-8,000 visitors to the Zoo each day as a new group of young sailors sailed through the Kangaroos and Flamingos in a fully rigged ESS Opti pram. Now it's time for the older youth and adults to "sail" a Rhodes.
