sailing school tutor David Warner - remembered

Thursday May 9, the Sailors, staff and board of Edgewood Sailing School rang Eight Bells, for the passing of Sailing School Tutor David Warner, part of the family since 2006, a volunteer in the adult-community program.   Earlier in the week David had written, "I enjoy my time with ESS tremendously, and love the opportunity to become a better sailor and tutor." 

We honor and remember David as a friend; as an enthusiastic, gentle teacher; and as an unrepentedly mischievous Rhodes-19 skipper. 

A service for David at St. Martin's Episcopal Church, near Wayland Square on the east side of Providence was attended by a dozen of saiilors from the Sailing School family.
