ESS 2020 SEASON UPDATE – May 21, 2020

Dear Edgewood Sailing School Friends:

I hope this email finds you and your family members healthy and safe.  The board and staff of ESS met on May 17 to discuss how to proceed with our programming in light of Governor Raimondo's statement that summer camps "may" be allowed to start on June 29.

2. Roll your tuition payment forward as a credit for summer 2021.

3. Donate some/all to the sailing school (please see note below).

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause your family.  Cancelling these classes is a great disappointment to us all.  Please know that we are keeping the health and safety of your children as our top priority.

For students registered in all other Opti and 420 sessions (Opti and 420 sessions with start dates of July 6 and later), please stay tuned for more information that will be sent out in the coming weeks regarding these programs in terms of timing (start date) and number of students we are allowed to serve based on guidelines being put forth by the state. We are cautiously optimistic that classes with start dates of July 6 and later will continue as scheduled.

Having said that, if you are uncomfortable with your child participating at ESS this summer, please let us know and you will have the same three options above for accessing your statement balance.

For our adult sailors, please stay tuned for more information regarding when and how we hope to have you back on the waters at Edgewood this summer.

Please know that we are working as hard as we can to again be safely sailing this summer.  We will communicate often with policies and procedures that will be in place as we return to sailing, and our hope is that you will work with us to make sure we can continue to serve you during these challenging times.

As always, never hesitate to reach out with questions or concerns.

Stay Well,

Stephanie
