WAKE UP EARLY ON SATURDAY and TOSS BOATS – new HaulOut time

       Hauling out the Fleet !

Edgewood Volunteers and friends at Rhode Island Yacht Club still plan to hoist the boats. Weather shifted. Cancelled Thursday. Now on Saturday.
NEW PLAN is SATURDAY Oct29 7am. Just in time for an early breakfast. And Saturday's a beautiful day.  

7:00 AM - Haul Out starts
After the boats arrive, each Rhodes hoisted high into the air.
It's done entirely by Edgewood Volunteers family.  It's a big job ! 

Teens and adults helping hands are needed for each of the two Volunteer Teams:  

• [JOIN VOLUNTEER ROSTER for TOWING SKIPPERS TEAM]
  new: Saturday 6AM - float the boats from Edgewood, early before the hoist.  Depart Edgewood 6am, then join in the hoist.  
  Need 5 skippers and 3 whalercrew to safely manage the project. (on the water - lifejackets required)  meet at EDGEWOOD YACHT CLUB 6am.

  new: Saturday 7:00AM -  breakfast-time (7am-9am) - set the hoisting straps & guide the boats ashore onto trailers.
  Meet at RHODE ISLAND Yacht Club 7am.

Join as many teams as you can. 
No heavy lifting required. 
Dress for the weather.

remove sails, un-step the spars, hose down the sails, secure the gear.
