Race recording for the Frozen Few
Hi skippers,
The weather looks good for tomorrow: sunny with moderate wind. Should be a great day of racing.
Several people were interested in using the raceQs software that Dave LeBlanc was running last week. It uses the GPS in your phone to record your racing, and then collects the data from all the phones to reconstruct the race. You can see some data from last week's race on the raceQs website.
If you would like to join in the system, you can download the software for iPhone or Android from the raceQs website. Look for the buttons at the top right of the page.
If you decide to take your phone racing with you, I have two suggestions:
- Put your phone in a waterproof bag or case, preferably one that floats.
- Make sure the phone is attached either to your person or your vessel.
See you soon!
