ESS ANNUAL SCHOLARSHIP DRIVE – 2020 – REMEMBERING OUR FRIEND, JEAN WESTCOTT

At the start of the 2020 season, ESS renamed its scholarship fund the MacNeil-Westcott Scholarship Fund, in memory of our dear friend Jean Westcott. Jean’s presence around EYC for many decades, and in particular the joy she experienced when seeing kids learn to sail, continue to inspire us all. This November, as you consider donating to the ESS annual scholarship drive, we ask that you also remember Jean and her legacy. Without people like Jean guiding us over the years (not to mention making endless sandwiches for regattas!), we would not be able to teach new generations of kids how to sail. And without people like you, we would not be able to offer tuition assistance, year after year, to local families who otherwise cannot afford to send their kids “down the hill” to ESS programs. So, we THANK YOU for your support of ESS and the MacNeil-Westcott Scholarship Fund!
