Saturday Volunteers back in action for another "season on the hard"

thanks to  Volunteers, the Edgewood and RIYC Rhodes are out of the water - and now it's time to clean up our act ......  

Back at Edgewood Saturday November 8, the Volunteers shifted gears and started the winter-maintenance which continues through December.  You can help any Saturday morning 9am - noon.

Sat 11/8/14:  Edgewood - SATURDAY morning - 9am (meet in the north lot)  

• hauled out the last 2 whalers
• scrubed and settled the Rhodes19s
• checked lines for repairs

Perfect weather and a full moon made Tuesday's (11/4/14)  haul-out a great project. Seven Rhodes19s and Columbia a 30ft Etchells went up-an-over onto their trailers in an hour. 

Thanks also to Ben for photos (see the others in FaceBook) and to the sailors at Rhode Island Yacht Club for hosting our annual hoist.
